I have been quilting
for many years, and have been a member of Queensland Quilters since 1994. During
those years, I found that I enjoy all aspects of patchwork and quilting and in
the last few years have been drawn to textile art. I started with crazy patchwork
and still enjoy hand work, embellishing with hand stitching in the art I
produce. I have been a member of the Broadstrokes group for a number of years.
I have been juried in to the State of the Art exhibition (Queensland Quilters Inc) which travels to Regional Art Galleries throughout south-east Queensland a number of times since 2009 and also exhibited with Broadstrokes + in Taiwan in 2016. In 2019, I exhibited with all members of Broadstrokes at Warwick Art Gallery –“Margaret Olley:Contemplations, conservations”. I have also received a few prizes at the Queensland Quilters Show and also at the Ekka in Brisbane.
